100 Pounds Gone Forever

Almost seven months ago I started a new journey. I was not sure of the final destination at that point and I'm still not certain where I will end up. But, I knew I needed to make a change in the direction I was headed. My weight had reached an all time high and my health was deteriorating. Everyday was a challenge to get through with mind numbing headaches, brain fog, always tired and high blood pressure. Today I have lost 100 lbs. The headaches are gone. The blood pressure is within normal ranges. The mental clarity has increased greatly. And, I have energy to spare. Yes, there is a spring back in my step and a sparkle back in my eyes. KCKO 100 Lbs Down (Keep Calm Keto On) Turn your stress into success!!!  Thank you to everyone for all your encouragement.  Thank you to my two sons for running with me and going to the gym.  The exercise isn't required for the weight loss but, was a great way to be able to spend time with them.  I am glad I feel good enough n...

Onderland

Woohoo, I finally made it to Onderland today, which means that instead of weigh 200 some I now weigh 100 something.  Not only is today Thanksgiving here in the US but, it also just happens to be my birthday, 49 years old.  I am down 74 lbs. to 198.  Yes, I am doing the happy dance this morning.  I am thankful that I am the healthiest I have been in my adult life.  Also, thankful for the Keto reddit group and all of the success stories and helpful comments.  Thankful  that my wife has also joined the Keto world and she has lost 20 lbs. so far. My son, who is still in high school and does cross country, asked me to start running with him about a month ago.  Today my son along with my wife will be doing a local 5K walk/run.  The 5K event will help support our schools backpack food program.  I would just like to say, don't forget to to turn your successes into a way to help the people around you. Remember never give up. You can do i...

100 Days

5'7", 48 year old male SW: 273 CW:217 Scale Victory: Started my Keto journey 100 Days ago.  I am now 56 pounds down. I started off with doing strict Keto, removing sugar, highly processsed foods, and caffeine from my diet.  Yes, you can live without caffeine.  After a few weeks of doing Keto I also started fasting. Normally my schedule works good with a 16:8 fasting schedule.  But, have also done a couple of three day fast and a lot of 20:4 fasts. After the initial water weight loss, I have been averaging a two to three pound loss per week.  One thing that helps a lot is keeping a journal of what you eat on a daily bases.  I use Samsung health and help my wife uses Cronometer to track our food intake and our daily macros. Non-Scale Victories: I am on my third belt.  I have gained incredible mental clarity.  Also, I now have extra energy at the end of the day. The best part is having my oldest son ask me to go to the gym and work out with hi...
