All the months of training paid off. I FINISHED the marathon. Was I first across the finish line, no. Was I the last across the finish line, no. For me this marathon was just about finishing and not comparing myself to others. I finished slightly better than I expected. I had told my family about what time I would be at certain points along the marathon route. At the first point they missed me because I was ahead of what I thought my pace would be. I think I could of pushed even harder, but I wanted to make sure I saved enough energy to finish. I will be taking off a few weeks from the training to let my body recover. I'll be doing some physical therapy types of things to get my shoulder and ankle to quit hurting.
